Well, I had a great time with the detective last week. We didn't have any runs, but I spent 5 hours talking to the detective about all kinds of sex crimes- real cases too. Some of the cases you are currently seeing in the news. I am SO interested! Then, on Friday I went to court at the City County Building. Why? I went to observe for my SANE class. I spent 4 hour observing the case where the lady "allegedly" hired an undercover police officer to kill her ex-husband. I observed testimony and many other things. It was SUPER insteresting. I didn't see the end of the trial, but today I saw on TV that she was convicted and will be sentenced to 20-50 years in a mental institution. She sure looked ok in court...hmmm. Well, I guess you have to be a little deranged to do something like that! I graduate from my class on Monday evening- Yay!! It has been SO interesting though. I will have to say that I see the world through different eyes now. Are people really this deranged and sick?
Damien and I enjoyed the Thanksgiving get together at the Lidgards on Saturday evening. See the pictures above. There was lots of great food and fellowship! Check out the kids eating dinner!
We also enjoyed watching Mr. Zander Sledge for a couple of hours on Tuesday so Mommy and Daddy could go house supply shopping. Auntie cuddled with him and finally he fell asleep 15 minutes before Mom and Dad came home.
Damien made a super swift casserole tonight- shells, cheese and Italian sausage. It was excellent!!! Thanks Honey!! Check it out partially eaten above. Damien thought I was really goofy taking pictures of food and posting. Well, he should be used to this given that his mother is a food picture taking guru!!
I am looking forward to my next 10 days off- Thanksgiving break!! Well, I use "off" loosely. I will be grading and preparing tests, but at least I can get things done without having to go to work. I am looking forward to going shopping with friends on Saturday and going to a purse open house with Barb. I am also looking forward to going to a monogram bag/item party at my friend Julie's home on Sunday.
We hope you have a very Blessed Thanksgiving! May you experience warmth, peace and love this Thanksgiving as you spend time with friends and family.
