Church Today and Christmas Giving

I am really enjoying church during the "Fireproof" series right now. It is based on relationships mainly with your spouse- how to be patient, love correctly, forgive etc. It is really a great series on marriage OR just simply relationships in general. Have you seen the new Fireproof movie? We plan to see it at the theater or at least rent it as soon as it comes out. It is a faith based movie on marriage struggles and how the couple come out on the other side of their struggles. I hear it is VERY good movie in terms of message, but the acting is not optimal. Everyone I know that has seen it has enjoyed it.

This year we have joined the church in putting together shoe boxes of goodies for children in less fortunate countries. We viewed a video of the children receiving these boxes in years past. It was so touching. They have nothing, but everything in these shoe boxes, though nothing big, made them smile and made their day, week and probably year. You can make as few as 1 box and upto as many as you would like to put together. You can even donate money through the website if you do not have time to put together box(es). You have the option of joining the 1,000 hours of prayer calendar. Would you like to make a huge difference in one child's life?? It is truly an amazing feeling!!
